Hi Joe, I wanted to thank you for running your special pricing for the Gold membership. I've watched all the lessons, and enjoyed them very much (as well as learned a lot). For me, an important part of the lessons is when you talk about your way of approaching or thinking about any of the topics - it's the thing missing from a lot of learning materials: the "why" that completes the "how". I hope you have more downloads planned, and thanks again.

I am really enjoying learning from you, you have a great teaching style and though you play to a very high standard, you don't just show off and you are prepared to admit weaknesses. I am 45 now and have been playing since I was 5 years old but I am self taught so this is a first for me and I am finding it very interesting and stimulating, so thank you.
I am finding lots of useful stuff in the lessons. In particular I like the way you focus on 'centering' various parts in a pattern to lock it precisely into place, and isolate some of the weaker offbeats to improve timing. This has had an incredible effect on my playing, and has made some of my tired patterns come alive.
Yours is the best set of tutorials I have tried, including one-on-one drum lessons.

I just watched a couple of your lessons on youtube and from there was directed to your website. Your lessons are exactly what I'm looking for. I played in rock bands for about 10 years but never really studied drums. I recently, after 10 years of not playing, started playing with my church band and got a new kit. I would like to study technique but I live in a small town and don't know of any teachers. The way you have your lessons layed out is awesome. Your verbal descriptions are clear, you start out playing the exercises slow enough for me to follow, and the written overlay makes it easy to follow and look at exactly what you're doing. I'm looking forward to learning from you. This is awesome! Thanks, Dave

Thank you so much for the lessons!!! I feel like I have improved so much since I started the lessons with you. The musicians that I play with have noticed a difference in my playing as well. I am getting a lot more phone calls for work now. I was mostly struggling with my technique. The thing that you made me realize is, you can work on licks and chops all day but if you don't spend time working on your technique it's not going to sound very good. The exercises you gave me have been instrumental in helping me to develop my technique.
The other thing that I like about the lessons is that I can pick the topic. I can ask questions directly to you. I can also download the lesson right from your site if I want to go back and review it. So while some might think it is expensive I think it has been worth every penny for me. I like that other students lessons are available for a cheaper price too.
So the bottom line is this, there are other places online to take lessons but I got lessons that catered to my specific needs. Thanks again Joe for being a great teacher and a really nice person. I can just tell you love what you do and you care. Please let me know when you get back so we can get another lesson in.

I have so many things to tell you that I don't know where to start. I guess I will start with last night. I went to a jam session and first off I had inspiration that I have not felt about playing for a while. The drummers kit was not set up well for me at all but I still had a great time. My girlfriend said she has already noticed a change in my playing even though I have not even had the benefit of going thru the first lesson exercises but once. I think what the lessons did was started me thinking about the motions.
The other thing is I video taped myself doing some grooves that I do in my band and I was not pleased with what I saw. Everything that I did not like came back to the motion thing you were talking about. I am looking forward to doing these exercises that you gave me because I know they will help.
I am sorry about the long winded message but I just wanted you to know how pleased I am about these lessons. I am telling all of my drummer friends about you because like I said anybody who is not doing these lessons is missing out.
Thanks for posting the lesson so fast too. I can just tell that you are an awesome person and if you lived in my area I would take weekly lessons from you.
Getting your gold pass is one of the best investments I've made in inspiring me and giving me some new stuff to learn/work on in drumming. As a teacher I really appreciate your thoughts and watching someone who is so good @ teaching and breaking things down.
Great exercises and approach with to working on concepts related to a particular song/fill/etc...
Keep it up!

Hey Joe!
I really enjoy your video lessons as well as the private lesson I had. You explain things very clearly and make it easy to understand. Over the years I´ve bought many instructional dvds and books, but I find your lessons much more
in-depth and valueble. I really like your consept of breaking stuff down to work and focus on the most fundemental and most important elements. Looking forward to more lessons. Exellent work!
I wish that I had the Gold Pass Lessons and access to a website and drummer forum like Joe’s 20 years ago! It is great to have conversations, advice and input from fellow drummers. This, combined with Joe’s personal responses and input, has catapulted by drumming and interest in learning up several levels in just 9 months. There is so much interesting stuff to learn and I am amazed that I can actually play what I thought was impossible for me. Thanks for this website!

Very enjoyable. Nice ideas; very clearly presented. This was best money I ever spent for ongoing drumming motivation.
