Hey guys. New drummer here. I've been playing for about 1 month now. I've been around music my whole life having started the guitar at a young age. I fooled around with the banjo, piano, harmonica but have always liked the drums. I used to mess around with drums when I was young but finally decided to pursue them and really focus on becoming a decent drummer. I'm loving them now and can't get enough. Unfortunately I just don't have time for live lessons so I'm having to resort to online lessons. I play a 5pc Tama IS with standard sizes. Been working on rudiments with my practice pad each day as well as finding time to bang on the kit. I've spent some time tuning but still working on that. I still have the stock heads but will replace them soon which I know will help. I often find myself sitting behind my kit not really knowing what I should be doing to improve my drumming. At this point I can play along pretty well with some songs. "Rise above" by Seether I do real well on. 'Crazy Train' by Ozzy is a bit hard for me as my left hand can't seem to keep that steady hi-hat beat going. Anyway, that's me. Glad to be here.
