reaction on 'Josie' solo lesson

I found this an instructive lesson. Just a look in the kitchen of a fantastic cook! Interesting were the sections about the syncopated parts of the solo. They open lots of possibilities when you've got control over them and know how to divide them over he drumkit. I am trying to get an idea of that (also non-syncopated) and am experimenting with it yet. The point is to make it sound and feel natural.

Also interesting was the topic on counting. I see counting (which is different from timekeeping) sometimes as a necessary evil that draws your attention away from the music. So tips on smart counting are a welcome support.

What remaines helpful is the breaking up in pieces of difficult patterns. It really helps me realising what I'm playing and improves my timing and accuracy thus playing more comfortable.

Nice lesson!
